Mandala Café
About This Spot
Stepping into Mandala Café feels like finding a gentle pause tucked away from the city’s pulse. Nestled on Av. Alfonso El Sabio, this intimate coffee spot offers a quiet refuge where the hum of friendly conversation blends effortlessly with soft, unobtrusive music. It’s a space that welcomes both those seeking a moment to work undisturbed and those simply looking to savor a thoughtfully prepared coffee.
The atmosphere moves at a calm, easy pace, inviting visitors to linger—whether with a laptop open, a book in hand, or simply soaking in the quietly comforting surroundings. The staff’s warm attentiveness adds a layer of ease, subtly making you feel cared for without any fuss.
The simplicity of the experience shines through in the small but considered menu. A slice of tostada de queso y tomate, for instance, pairs naturally with a rich espresso or a glass of the refreshing Pedras Salgadas sparkling water, creating moments that feel quietly special rather than staged. For those with dietary needs or preferences, you’ll find the team happy to accommodate, adding to the air of thoughtful hospitality.
Mandala Café has the charm of a well-kept local secret—the kind of place where the coffee costs less than on the bustling tourist streets nearby, but the spirit feels richer. It’s a corner where genuine smiles and unpretentious comfort sit side by side, making it a simple yet meaningful stop in Alicante’s café scene.

Very good spot to work and to rest. Friendly staff, quiet music and really nice coffee (expresso as I like it most!). By the way, they serve Pedras Salgadas... a nice naturally sparkling water from Portugal!

Great hole in the wall cafe. We got our coffee and croissants. Good stuff half price compared to the other cafes on the tourist streets. Pleasant staff also.

Lovely place close to the tram in Mercado. We popped in here while waiting for food from the place next to it. Ended up buying a coffee and toast, then a slice of banoffee cake and a pina colada smoothie. The staff was kind, greeted us as soon as we entered and took our orders fast. Despite the place being quite busy, they were always polite and had a smile on their faces. The place is wheelchair friendly and has an automatic door. There's space to sit outside, and a waterbowl for dogs. There's also a toilet and free WiFi. Definitely recommend the place and I will be going there again!
